Currently stored inside with a cover. The plans are from Angus Rowboats in Canada and she was built to their specs, this is the Oxford Wherry design. Her hull is CNC router-cut Okoume marine plywood, 6 oz. fiberglass inside and out, SystemThree resins, Epifanes Monourethane, Pettit varnish, and Kiwigrip non-skid.
She includes an inner gunnel in addition to the outer gunnel recommended in their plans, I wanted a little more stiffness and durability. I also installed brass half-round on the bow and keel to protect her, along with ash on the hull for added protection when running on a beach or dock.
For all specs please take a look on their website (much better than I trying to describe it all): https://angusrowboats.com/pages/oxford-wherry
I selected the carbon seat for the sliding seat arrangement as it saves a few pounds. All hardware for the rigger is from Concept2. For a full description of their rigger build up here is another link to their site with more pictures: https://angusrowboats.com/pages/builders-resources#riggerOars The sliding seat arrangement has two available locations to accommodate passengers or gear loads in the boat. For fixed seat rowing the rigger is easily removed and there is a drop in center seat for fixed seat rowing.
Oars are brand new from Dreher. 9′ 6″ carbon sculls – very light and stiff. Traditional Macon blades.
