Description
Ruggen is a Colin Archer design, first launched in 1995, rigging fully completed around 2005. Built on Vancouver Island by one man with a dream to sail her back to his homeland Norway. Ruggen’s hull is built of Kentucky oak frames with old growth douglas fir planking, to heavy scantlings. All bronze fastened, she is built from the best materials possible. Ruggen is sheathed in copper below the waterline. Colin Archer, the famed Norwegian naval architect and shipbuilder, designed some of the most noteworthy sailing vessels of the late 19th and early 20th century. You can lookup the history of the RS vessels online, designed to rescue fisherman stranded in the North sea. Ruggen is sensibly priced for a vessel that is ready to take you anywhere in world you would like to go. Please email if you would like further photos or information.
