Description
Knight Errant is a 50ft Slipper Stern Launch, built by Meeks of Marlow, UK in 1934. She is a fabulous sleek Thames Slipper Launch, the only one built with a cabin, she oozes 1930’s Art Deco style. She has an impeccable provenance, including being owned in the swinging sixties by the British Actress, Diana Dors. She has also taken part in the late Queen Elizabeth’s Jubilee River Pageant. She has won ‘Best Boat at Show’ at the Thames Traditional Boat Festival and has been a regular attraction at many marine shows and festivals. She would look elegant on any waterway or lake anywhere around the world. She has a forward and aft cockpit, with seating for 8. Internal seating for up to 10 in her sumptuous varnished mahogany interior. She’s had high quality modern updates which include a beautifully finished mahogany shower and toilet. She has 2 fridges, electric hob and music system and a fully integrated heating and air-conditioning system. All sympathetically built into her art-deco interior. She’s powered by a modern 120hp Nanni Diesel, powering a hydraulic drive system. Which means she is very quiet and smooth, giving her a top speed of 20 knots. She’s been immaculately maintained over the last 20 years by a professional boat yard. She’s a very rare and special vessel from a bygone era. She has only been on the market once in the last 30 years, which is testament to her unique style and usability.
