This is my “Cream Puff”, but her real name is Giclee’. In artwork a giclee’ is a reprint of an original piece of art. The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the Herrshoff 12 ½ footer, and she is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the original sloops designed by N.G. Herreshoff in 1914. She is able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas. Like all Doughdishes, Giclee’ is constructed of foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. She is a comfortable and easy daysailer and a wonderful boat in which to teach sailing.
Giclee’ was built by Edey & Duff in 1988. She has been lovingly maintained by a yacht designer in Marblehead, Ma. She has been lightly sailed for two seasons in last 13 years. Giclee comes fully equipped including a set of sails still in great shape mainsail and jib by Harding sails and like new canvas cover and jib cover, and new custom seat cushions very unique to this design, and a spinnaker pole. She only lacks a spinnaker. 2022 new varnish, wax, bottom paint, new mast hoops and new tiller. Includes trailer.
