Faber Navalis is a film about the experience of a shipwright at work on the restoration of an old Norwegian wooden ship that is now recognized as historical maritime treasure by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage. Faber Navalis is Latin for Boatbuilder: words in an ancient language for describing an ancient profession.
