The Shipyard Cup Classics Challenge is presented in conjunction with the 48th running of the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club Annual Regatta.
Along with classics, the BHYC Annual Regatta includes PHRF racers, One Designs (e.g. J/80s) and the historic Boothbay Harbor One Designs design by Geerd Hendel.
BHYC also runs two informal classic races each summer (July 2 and August 13, 2022) open to both members and non-members.
The club has a very active youth sailing program including financial aid for local community members.
Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club also offers a variety of instructional courses in sailing – including “First Sail” opportunities, Intro to Sailing, US SAILING Basic Keelboat certifications, and other individualized and customized advanced sailing and racing options.
