We build lifestyle boats for exercise, recreation or for some it just being a pearl by your dock. From the begining boatsize was limited to weight (max two persons needed to carry) the boat. Its mostly stripbuilt boats and these are epoxy laminated. We make the strips ourselvs. We also make exercise scullers in stich and glue technic. Coastal rowboats a CX1 type are on the strongback now in spruce and cedarwood.
Boat size was once decided by the door to the shop and what could be carried over a narrow (1m) bridge.
The first boats that came out the shop was Rangeley 17 and Liz 18 by Ken Basett. They where built out of kits we bought from Newfound Woodworks, Two of these boats are to be seen on the NW webpage. Today the shop has increased it is in a new big building and our possibilities has increased. We build traditional small boats and repair woodenboats. Kits for kajakbuilders are a major business as well building some.
