Pocket Yacht Palooza

The West Coast’s largest gathering of small boats, held on the third Saturday of July at the Northwest Maritime Center in Port Townsend, WA.
The Palooza welcomes smaller, trailerable boats regardless of building material, since the emphasis is on great, functional design, so we see a variety of vintage fiberglass camp-cruising sailboats; new and older wooden watercraft, with some unofficial emphasis on boats that are ideal–or at least capable of–overnight cruising.

The 2020 Pocket Yacht Palooza was cancelled due to Covid 19 concerns. This year’s event is scheduled for July 17, but there’s a chance it, too, might be scrubbed or postponed. (Contact event organizers closer to July, to learn about current status of the Palooza.)
