22' Young Scaled Friendship Sloop (1965) - ECHO

22′ LOD, 32′ LOA, Merrill Young at Lee’s Boat Shop, Rockland, ME 1965. Scaled from the famous PEMAQUID (ex. FLORIDA) Friendship Sloop lines, this lovely daysailer has an impressive history, is well preserved and a joy to sail. Many upgrades over time including new suit of Oceanus vertical seamed sails (Main, stays’l, Yankee jib), extended cabin with two berths and custom cushions, both Yamaha gas and Torqeedo outboard options, Sunbrella sail covers and simply gorgeous lines. Traditional deadeyes with new lanyards, all new running rigging (New England Ropes 3 strand Classic), original bronze and wood blocks (mostly Merriman) separate solar panels for individual bilge pump and house (VHF radio) batteries. Full keel, tiller-steered, handy and steady in a seaway at 5,200lbs displacement w/external lead ballast and movable internal ballasts.
