Iron Oars Rowing Club (IORC)

We race our Monomoy Surfboat IRON OARS on San Francisco Bay. Our races are sponsored by the Bay Area Whaleboat Rowing Association (BAWRA), which provides for Women, Mixed, Men, Masters and Youth divisions. These boats are the descendants of colonial shore-based whaling vessels on the East Coast, and evolved to become life saving vessels under the US Coast Guard.
