She was built in an era where yachts of this pedigree were only available to the extremely wealthy. The ACF shipbuilders were well known for building an extremely strong, safe, and sea kindly boats whether they were building minesweepers for the U.S. government or a few privileged individuals. The company intended to build a roomy comfortable family style cabin cruiser that would accommodate a family for sea going adventures.
