Les Artisans du Saint-Laurent

Artisans du Saint-Laurent is a community initiative that aims to make sailing accessible, as a priority, to young people from the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of Quebec City.
The project began in the winter of 2020 with the construction of their own sailboat with the cooperation of senior sailors who come to share their knowledge and know-how with young artisans from the neighborhood.
This project focuses on the development of young participants through a positive experience of group work and discovery of maritime professions and other related fields of knowledge.
The sailboat will be launched in the Baie de Beauport in the summer of 2021 for free discovery and initiation outings to the pleasures of sailing for less fortunate young people, on our beautiful St. Lawrence River.
