Description
Lovingly cared for and garage kept Wayfarer Sloop #8019 built in 1986 by Ron Mueller of Wayland Marine.
Hull construction of Brunzeel Regina African Mahogany Marine Plywood and Mahogany solids.
Mainsail: 95 sq. ft. Genoa: 46 sq. ft.
Heavy canvas mooring/trailering cover by The Sailors’ Tailor
Trailer: 1989 Shorelander B1712. To better support the keel, I had an extra cross member fabricated as shown in the pictures.
The Wayfarer is a wonderful, capable, and seaworthy boat to sail as evidenced by the adventures of Frank Dye and his Wayfarer #48 which now resides in the UK National Maritime Museum, Falmouth, Cornwall. Much information can be found online concerning this craft including current Wayfarer Associations to belong to and even the building manual that was sent along with the wood Wayfarer kits.
