Description
Part-built Cape Henry 21, from a kit by Alec Jordan. Skeg keel and framing of black locust and iroko. Hull is complete to deck level and is sheathed in 6 oz fiberglass in epoxy. Plank laps are glassed; see photo. The rest of the kit parts for the deck are included, along with a complete set of plans.
The hull is cradled right-side up in a barn with direct access via an amply-large door. It is unballasted and should load easily for transport. (Lead for ballast is available at extra cost). In addition to the kit parts, there is some locust and iroko lumber remaining that goes with the boat.
The boat’s in southwest France, near Cahors, where I had planned to spend six months each year. That hasn’t been possible, and time’s short. Hence this sale. I’ll be in France for the month of May, but can arrange to have someone else show the boat if another time’s better. In that case, please, no tire kickers.
For reference, the kit price from Jordan Boats is now £4801 (about $5800) plus shipping. Email me with any questions. I’m an experienced amateur builder; I’ve built eight boats from scratch and from kits.Photos
