32' Day Downeast Cruiser (1969) – MONHEGAN

32′ Arno Day Downeast Cruiser built in 1969. If you’ve been around wood boats, you probably have heard of Arno. He was a fourth-generation builder of classic lobster boats and Downeast cruisers from Sedgwick, Maine. Hull is white cedar over white oak frame with silicon bronze fasteners. Teak decking all around.
This is a classic lobster boat design with pilot house in place of traditional open fishing cockpit. Flybridge has fully operational helm with comfortable seating, bimini top, depth finder, etc. The layout makes for a great cruising boat with plenty of space for entertaining guests. The cooktop/oven woodstove can provide for warmth throughout the interior.
Comfortable sleeping in forward V-berth. Cabin has hanging wardrobe and cubbies for storage and butterfly hatch for air flow.
Jasco manual toilet and sink in head.
Pilot house has under side galley drawers and cupboards. Starboard side storage includes two sets of drawers (3 per set), fold-down chart table and tool storage compartment. Portable drop-side dining table can be used in the house or in outside cockpit. The settee converts to as a wide single berth.
The aft exterior cockpit is spacious with cushioned deck box seating
