Historic single-screw power vessel, 9th in a series of 12 built at Gravina Island, Alaska for the U.S. Forest Service. Commissioned 1930 as “Ranger 9”.
Structural, mechanical, and electrical refurbishment throughout by leading PNW shipwrights, electricians, and technicians. $750,000++ expended past 20 years. Extensive hull work, including stem, transom, horn timber, and approximately 60% of planking replaced 2015. Major pilot house repairs 2022. Lovingly kept by liveaboard owner in Seattle and San Juan Islands, WA.
Priority awarded to prospects with the commitment and capacity to safeguard an important example of her type.
Vessel is completing cosmetic refit. Appointments will be taken for showings and sea trials beginning April, 2024.
Stitch is tight, sound and would readily withstand relocation.
