SOLD - 8’ Fiberglass Dinghy (1985) - DIS’L DO

Dis’l Do is a solid fiberglass dingy which can accommodate 2 adults in style. She has two rowing stations, tracks and tows beautifully. Over the winter of 2023 I removed all the wooden components, stripped the interior paint before breathing new life into her. The gunnels are steam bent white oak, breast hook and knees were cut from a slab of mahogany and the seats are white ash. Two coats of epoxy were applied to the wood before being finished with Total Boat Wood Finish. The interior was painted with Kirby Gray, Total Boat Oyster was used on the hull and Micron CSC for the bottom. There is a stainless steel skid plate for the skeg. To solve the age old problem of your dingy filling with rain water, I fabricated a custom cover made out of top gun 9 fabric that is supported by a fiberglass bow. The cover can be used while towing the dingy or when she is tied up at the dock. You’ll need to supply your own oars. 7’ or 7.5’ works well.
