Pearson Commander- 26’ full keel day sailor/ weekender, heavy duty fiberglass hull built by Pearson (1964). The Commander is designed by Carl Alberg, who sailed it in his later years. Same hull as Pearson ARIEL but with a longer cockpit and shorter coach roof.
Classic family sailboat for day sailing and weekend cruising. Our family has owned, carefully maintained and outfitted COOT for 40 years in Boothbay Harbor, ME. Very well built, sea kindly and fast. She will take you safely where you like even in a stiff wind and sea.
Marlin Blue hull (painted in 2010). Auxiliary engine: 9.9 extra-long shaft 2 cycle outboard located in stern well.
9′ long cockpit can seat 8 for day sailing, cabin can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids. Porta potty. Doyle sails (main, 150% genoa, spinnaker). Whisker and spinnaker poles. Harken roller furling forestay, 2-30 AST self-tailing winches.
Overall length 25’7”; waterline length 18’8”; beam 8’; Draft 3’3”; lead ballast 2700 lbs.; total displacement 5100 lbs.; sail area 305 sq.ft.
