This Laurent Giles Vertue design is the perfect small off-shore sailboat. Having built or repaired many boats/yachts during my working career, I chose to build this Vertue #230 for myself. I used cold molded hull construction and high end materials including cherry, mahogany, walnut, teak woods and custom bronze work. We sailed her on a trans-Atlantic trip in 2010-11 and were provisioned for another in 2020-21 until the pandemic cancelled the adventure. We now sail the beautiful Maine coast. She is a joy to sail and very comfortable to live aboard. She can easily be sailed single handed but is perfect for two, although there is room for more. New Yanmar 2YM-15 diesel engine, 6 sails, chart plotter, depth sounder, AIS, radar, Fleming self-steering, nesting dinghy and much more. The Vertue is a tried and true blue water boat with a long and storied history. She awaits more adventures.
