53' Rhodes Cutter (1937) - SENTA

53′ Cutter Philip Rhodes design 1937. Classic sailboat well maintained is one of two built. Original owner, K.K. Bechtel, Esq. commissioned Mr Stone to build her after seeing Kirwan win the 1936 Newport Bermuda race in her class. When Mr Stone said it would be very expensive Mr Bechtel gave him a blank check and said just make it better. The Sister ship Kirwan was recently restored. Senta has been around the world a number of times with a rich sailing/racing history. We have the original plans, her bulkheads and interior are kept to original design. Senta is currently up for sale and located at Dodsons Shipyard in Stonington, CT this winter for maintenance getting freshly painted and varnished. Her home dock is at Huguenot YC, New Rochelle, NY.
