Description
Sadly, SINGOALLA is for sale due to age – not her age but the age of her owner. SINGOALLA is an International DRAGON and is one of famous designer Johan Anker’s most successful designs (see Wooden Boat Magazine 239, page 70. DRAGONS were originally built to be cruised off the coast of Norway. The designed quickly gained popularity and in 1948 was selected as an Olympic class boat, an honor they retained until 1972. The DRAGON class was recognized by Classic Boat magazine as one of the 20 top boats of the last century. Production of new boats continues today.
SINGOALLA translated means ‘a Norwegian seductress’. She was built in Grimstad, Norway in 1947 and is the second registered DRAGON in the US. Although she is over 70 years old she is essentially a new boat. She has been totally restored by the renowned East Passage Boatwrights. Quality materials and workmanship are evident throughout the boat. She has fresh paint and varnish from the bottom of her keel to the top of her mast. In short, she’s ready to slide off her custom built Triad galvanized trailer and take you on many of the most enjoyable experiences you will have in your life.
In my 70+ years of boating I have never been on a boat that was so rewarding as SINGOALLA. If I could magically restore a few miles to my wake SINGOALLA would not be for sale.
