Description
Summer steward (two jobs) for small local Maine yacht club. Position lasts from mid-June until Labor Day, with some flexibility on dates. Modest free lodging is available – bunk room, kitchen, bathroom.
Specific Responsibilities
• Teach sailing lessons to kids aged 8-16, beginner through advanced
• Conduct club races most Wednesday and Saturday afternoons
• Assist with boats landing at the dock whenever possible
• Supervise one overnight campout on an island
• Keep clubhouse tidy and boats in order
Specific Skills Needed
knowledge of sailing, boating & ability to teach basic skills to junior and beginning sailors. Some training will be provided if needed.
