A festival celebrating Blue Hill Maine’s Maritime Heritage hosted by the Downeast Chapter of the TSCA.
The Festival will be held in Blue Hill’s historic village, centered on the scenic waterfront. Various activities will be occurring throughout the day, such as boat building demonstrations, oar carving, traditional boats on display, kiosks of organizations supporting or involved with the bay. On the water there will be more boats, demonstrations, many offering rides. Musicians will be adding to the maritime atmosphere with sea shanties and fiddle tunes. There will be seafood, pizza and ice cream.At the Town Wharf, under the big tent will be the Downeast Chapter of the Traditional Small Craft Association, Wilson Museum with their kiddie pool and rope making machine, Hewes and Company with info on their CNC kits. On the wharf, George Stevens Academy, Maine Maritime Academy, Maine Island Trail Association will be there along with Chase Small Craft displaying their CNC boats and have them available for demonstration rides.
