Bluewater Cruising Association

The Bluewater Cruising Association helps aspiring offshore sailors prepare themselves and their boats for cruising beyond protected coastal waters. Whether you dream about sailing around Vancouver Island, to Mexico, to Bora Bora or around the world, we can help you connect with people who can help make it a reality. We are a not-for-profit organization with local Chapters in Vancouver, Calgary and on Vancouver Island.

BCA’s membership is diverse and includes a wide range of experience: “Doners”, who have returned home after completing distant offshore passages; “Doers”, who are still out there cruising; and “Dreamers”, who are considering or actively planning an offshore adventure. We provide opportunities for learning such as great courses in our Education Program, forums for communication and information exchange among members, regular meetings, social events, and on-the-water activities.

Currents, the Association’s widely acclaimed online publication, includes articles, events, education and news, and an abundance of great content. Our online and virtual events are continually expanding to make BCA ever more accessible.
