The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding is committed to providing students a quality, hands-on education in boatbuilding and marine systems. Founded in 1981, this year marks our 43rd anniversary. Over the past four decades the school has taught boatbuilding and marine systems skills to more than 1,800 students. We offer a full-time 12 month Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degree in Boatbuilding, a 9-month diploma program in Marine Systems, and 5-day Intensives in Marine Electrical, Diesel Engines, Outboard Engines, and Corrosion.
Our mission is to teach and preserve boatbuilding and marine systems skills while developing the individual as a craftsperson.
