Terrific boat. Many years ago, I met Peter Duff at a boat show in Newport. As we were chatting, a guy came up, squinted at Peter's nametag and asked, "You make these boats?" Peter shook his head. "We build 'em." Ever since then, I grind my teeth when I hear someone talk about making a boat. Sail on!
Beautiful boat. Looks almost like a plank-on-edge cutter. Never met Ralph Stanley, sorry to say, but he was a legend. Just one question: Do you think the bowsprit is long enough?
I saw this boat in build. It was a beautiful job--one that will last 100 years with any decent treatment. I thought at the time that she was too much boat for the length and sail area, but I now think I was wrong. Just lovely.
