50' Scheel Stonington Motorsailer (1962) - BARNEGAT

BARNEGAT is a 1962 Stonington 50. She was Designed by Henry Scheel and is one of the three 50ft hulls built by Stonington boat works in Stonington CT. She carries a steadying sail and likes to cruise at 8 knots. Her hull is constructed of mahogany on white oak frames. Presently BARNEGAT is owned by a syndicate who are in the middle of the first of a few winter restoration sessions to best prepare her for her next 60 years.
