Owner’s Description
The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses opened in June 1995 when the automation of Scottish Lighthouses was in its final phase.
Housing a nationally recognised collection of Lighthouse artefacts, the Museum tells the story of the Northern Lighthouse Board, its lighthouses, engineers and keepers.
The museum also offers tours of Kinnaird Head Lighthouse – a light which escaped automation and preserved in time as a manned light. Climb to the top of Kinnaird Head Lighthouse to enjoy the views from the top.Photos
