Our spectacular museum reflects industry and engineering in one of England’s most famously beautiful locations, the Lake District National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. A working destination, committed to conserving, saving and sharing its internationally important collection.
In the collection you’ll find a wide assortment of vessels, from the 1871 Steam Barge SS Raven, a National Historic vessel, to 1902 Steam Launch Osprey, 1930 Motor Vessel Penelope II, 1937 Chris Craft Motorboat Jane and 1958 speed record breaker Miss Windermere IV, to name a few.
