Home to Steve Chapin, master boatbuilder, known for his expert skills in building and restoring Pocock Classic Cedar Single Racing Shells, including an original that took home a gold medal in the 1936 Olympics.
Recently revived to the popular film and movie, “The Boys in the Boat”, Steve’s contributions to maritime history are one of a kind.
Steve learned from Bob Brunswick, the last wooden boat builder at Pocock and studied all the old shells built by George and Stan Pocock that he could find.
