Description
Custom built raised deck cruiser. Cruises at 16mph and easily carries six passengers. Rides on a double axle trailer with double bunks to spread the weight. Comes with a Bimini top and heavy-duty cover. Easy to launch and retrieve. I have a full detailed photo history of her construction. Construction started in June 2021 and was completed in 2023. She was the 6th boat I have built. I used photos of a raised deck cruiser built in Holland to create her design. I could not find a raised deck cruiser for sale in America.
Double 1/4″ marine plywood with epoxy fiberglass sandwich construction (Ashcroft method) In this method you install the first layer of plywood fastened with screws to the stringers, chine log and sheer rail. The first layer is then coated with epoxy and fiberglass cloth. The second layer is attached with epoxy and screws overlapping the seams of the first layer. The entire hull, deck and bottom is then covered with fiberglass cloth and sanded smooth. Bottom is done first and then the boat is turned over to do the sides. The epoxy cloth for the bottom overlaps the chine log and the sides also overlap the chine log making a very strong chine. The deck and sole received a layer of 1/2″ ACX plywood overlade with a 1/4″ marine plywood. The first layer was overlaid with epoxy cloth and bonded to the second layer with epoxy. The deck and gunwales are overlaid with African Mahogany. The boat comes with a tachometer a Laurance 7″ depth sounder/fish finder, electric windlass with bow and helm controls. Handheld marine radio, two 12V wet cell batteries, two bilge pumps, bilge blower and storage space under 5 hatch covers. Faux teak sole and cabin floors,
