13' Peapod Tender (2016) - WE'RE HERE

    12′-10″ Peapod. Edge glued lapstrakes (no frames) Rowing skiff. A tender for our 58′ William Garden (shown in the show) At 95 lbs. she is a joy to row. Easily brought onboard, able to carry two easily.
    We found our gem locked up in a dark storage garage in a dusty central California farm town. The owner did not know who built her, who designed her. She was like an orphan, or a rescue dog. But unlike many strays, this boat had no bad traits, no scars. She exited the dark life of storage as if she came off the show room floor. She’s only thing I have ever paid for before viewing. When the door rolled up, I felt like I was seeing my mail order bride for the first time. Hard to describe how astounded I was to see the detail and craftsmanship.
    My for any info on her origins, have come up blank. I contacted Doug Hylan at https://www.dhylanboats.com/design/plans/beachpea_plans/ He thought it looked close to his Beach Pea, but the boat has more strakes.
    So my sweet little orphan boat is without papers, but her DNA is strong.

        Thanks so much Jonathan! Yes we love our little Pea-pod. The name came with it…like everything else. I checked your bio, I love your 21′ sailboat. We sailed for 40 years. The 58′ is our first pleasure motor boat. We also have a 16′ Hobie Power Skiff we tow behind our Sprinter camper. I will post a pic. Lets us know make it to the PNW again.
