15'8” Herreshoff 12 ½ Sloop (1928) - B H’s EMPRESS

1928 Herreshoff 12 1/2 Gaff headed Sloop. Hull#1081 Commissioned June 2, 1928 to Mrs Murray S Danforth of Bristol RI
This boat was many years ago owned by the Herreshoff Marine Musuem in Bristol Rhode Island. Purchase from them by Bruce Colimer in approx 2014 and then sold to me in 2021.

Since my ownership, under the advice of Harry Bryan an internationally renowned wooden boat expert and living near us the following maintenance was completed.

Bottom refastened caulked and painted. All the brightwork on the boat as well as the mast, boom and spars stripped and varnished using Epifanes wood finish gloss, clear varnish. Installed and painted new canvas on the decks.

The boat is currently being sailed on a fresh water river system in Southern New Brunswick
