Annie, a great job on FanShl, nice to see how you have kept her simple. Less repair and more time on the water. We don’t see a lot of Junk rigs up here in Maine waters, so that is a rare sight. Color scheme is great, hope you get to enjoy the sailing as much as the building, I’m sure you will. You have a great area to explore by the looks of things. Dean on S/V Briar Patch. 2022
Don’t know if you got the other message…we said it is great to see you maintaining Black Star in Bristol condition, always a lot of work but the end result is always worth it.. Dean and Kathy
Annie, thanks for the positive feedback on Briar Patch. We have loved the show and see many hours of upkeep and repairs represented in the boats shown . Always great to peruse what others have accomplished and recognize many, especially ones we see sailing Maine for all these years. You folks have provided a great service by putting this show on… Keep up the good work and say hello to Maynard if you get a chance. Dean and Kathy.
We have been onboard when it was owned by previous owner… they had done a great job preserving the boat and it looks great today. Keep up your good work. We are owners of Briar Patch up in NH also listed in the show 34 ft cutter. Dean and Kathy
Ted and Judy, probably seen Black Star in our travels, just not met up with you yet. Spend our summers onboard in Penobscot Bay. Have a mooring at Ocean Pursuits north end of Rockland but try not to spend much time there. Will keep a lookout for you and hope to meet up. It will be good when this pandemic is past and things might get back to normal again. Nice looking varnish...on a good looking boat. Dean
Sure is a smart looking boat...that looks like Joel in the cockpit and when did you change over to tan bark sails. We do spend all summer in Penobscot these later years, so we should meet up for a gam somewhere. It has been a while.
Love the outside chain plates and the cutter rig with the high cut yankee. Looks like a go to sea boat. Been into Chester by camper van and would have stopped if we had seen this one nearby.
Paul . Looks great down in the tropics. Keep up the good work and all will be well. Several different builds on the same hull. Realize you might not go around again but Penobscot bay not too bad.
