Welcome to the John Gardner Chapter of the Traditional Small Craft Association! Visit us at the Community Boathouse, Building #36, on the University of Connecticut”s Avery Point campus in Groton, CT. We invite you to attend one of our gatherings, go for a row or sail or get involved in our next boatbuilding project.

The John Gardner Small Craft Workshop will again be held this year concurrently with the WoodenBoat Show at Mystic Seaport June 28-30, 2024. Stop by, say hello, go for a row and take in some of our presentations. This year’s theme is “Small Craft in the New Small Craft Hall”. Featured will be replicas of the original boats in the Seaport’s Small Craft Collection. Tours of the Collection will be held and Chapter dories available to row. Check out our John Gardner TSCA Chapter page and website for year ’round activities.
The John Gardner Small Craft Workshop will again be held this year concurrently with the WoodenBoat Show at Mystic Seaport June 23-25, 2023. Stop by, say hello, go for a row and take in some of our presentations. This year’s theme is “Small Craft in the New Small Craft Hall”. Featured will be replicas of the original boats in the Seaport’s Small Craft Collection. Tours of the Collection will be held and Chapter dories available to row. This year’s Small Craft Workshop will be held concurrently with the WoodenBoat Show at Mystic Seaport June 24-26, 2022. Stop by and go for a morning row with us and stick around for presentations. This year’s theme is “It’s all about the Boats”. Check our website for other activities like our Memorial Day Classic row or join us at our shop on the Avery Point campus.
